The Slow Down: Restorative Yoga & Massage

  • Cloudbreak Yoga 1621 Bridgeway Sausalito, CA, 94965 United States (map)

The Slow Down is a nourishing two-hour seasonal workshop designed to help you transition with greater ease. It invites us to slow our pace and return to the quiet wisdom of the body.

Rooted in the principles of Chinese Medicine and the rhythms of the season, this practice offers a gentle invitation to regulate the nervous system, soften accumulated tension, and cultivate steadiness amidst change.

The afternoon begins with approximately 45 minutes of Satya Yoga—a yin-inspired somatic movement practice that blends mindful movement, breath, and subtle fascial release to awaken circulation, support the lymphatic system, and gently prepare the body for stillness. Throughout this opening practice, Leia offers hands-on assists and thoughtful guidance to encourage ease, embodiment, and inner balance.

From there, the class transitions into approximately 75 minutes of deeply supported Restorative Yoga. Using blankets, bolsters, and other props, you’ll settle into restful postures designed to calm the nervous system, invite parasympathetic regulation, and create space for profound physical and mental restoration.

As you rest, certified massage therapist Rebecca Eberhardt will offer individualized therapeutic massage and bodywork to each participant, helping release muscular tension, improve circulation, and deepen the experience of surrender and relaxation.

Whether you arrive feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or simply longing for a slower rhythm, The Slow Down offers a sanctuary to reconnect with yourself through movement, stillness, and intentional care.
